Understanding VSN
Take a moment to review this video that provides an overview of the VSN platform and its services offered.
Step 1: Account Setup
- Verify Login: Access your administrative portal and update your password to secure your video network.
- Profile Completion: Confirm your account’s address, time zone, and contact settings on your dashboard. This is vital for scheduled broadcasts.
- Invite Team Members: Add additional users by sending them their own VSN invite links.
Step 2: Connect Your Hardware
- Register Devices: Link your hardware (media players, screens, devices) to your account.
- Connection Status Check: Confirm all devices are showing as Online within the dashboard.
- Assign Location: Group devices by physical location or department for easier management.
Step 3: Platform Training & Knowledge Base
- Platform Walkthrough: Navigate the dashboard, focusing on the My Media, Apps, and Content Library.
- Bookmark Resources: Save the VSN Knowledge Base link for quick access to setup guides and troubleshooting.
Step 4: Content & Asset Management
- Upload Media: Upload your videos and images into the Media Library.
- Organize Channels: Organize your media folders by creating channels.
- Content Library: Add pre-created content from VSN’s extensive Content Library.
- Review Specs: Ensure all uploaded media meets the recommended resolution and aspect ratio (EX: 1920x1080).
Step 5: Create & Schedule
- Build a Playlist: Have your assets play in a sequence or a random loop.
- Set Scheduling Rules: Define when your content should play (start/end dates, level of frequency, etc.).
- Preview Content: Use the Preview tool to see exactly how your content will look before it goes live.
Step 6: Go Live
- Publish/Push to Live: Send the scheduled content to your active devices.
- On-Site Verification: Confirm the content is playing correctly on your display screen.
- Enable Notifications: Opt-in to alerts so you are notified if a device ever goes offline.
